We’re excited to share that enGÉNIEer is now Genie Prep! 🎉

Hi, I’m Kenza the lead instructor and founder of Genie Prep and in this blog post I’m giving you a little bit of a background story about this platform: its mission, and its vision and the reasons behind our recent rebranding!

The enGÉNIEer Origin Story

As some of you might know, I started the enGÉNIEer YouTube channel in 2018 with a desire to create resources I wished I had when I took the FE Exam back in 2017. Our name was an imaginative blend of “engineer” and “Génie,” the French word for genius. This unique fusion captured our mission to provide ingenious solutions and support for engineering students.

Why the Name Change to Genie Prep?

As time went on, we noticed that our name led to some pronunciation challenges. People would call us “engineer” or “genie,” or “you know, the courses with Kenza” which, while amusing, made us realize that a change was needed. And so, we proudly introduce our new name and brand identity: Genie Prep!

The name Genie Prep captures our essence as a resource that helps aspiring engineers like you prepare for the FE Exam with the support of a knowledgeable and friendly “genie.” Our rebranding journey was fueled by our unwavering commitment to our students and our determination to continually grow, innovate, and expand our courses as the FE Exam itself evolve throughout the years.

What to Expect from Genie Prep

As Genie Prep, we’re excited to continue being an online platform that provides personal follow-up to each and every student with courses that matches all different backgrounds. Our promise is to help you pass the FE Exam no matter how long ago you graduated or even if you graduated outside the US. I created my teaching method based on not assuming everyone remember all the concepts from college and designing each course and problem to make sure you understand the solution providing a video step-by-step explanation for each of them (over +700! problems).

With our new name comes a renewed dedication to reaching more FE Exam takers, sharing knowledge, creating innovative products, and providing top-notch services. Our growing team is always exploring new projects and objectives, ensuring that your Genie Prep experience is constantly improving keeping the same mindset of being THE RIGHT SUPPORT for all our students.
