Whether you’re planning to complete the FE Civil, Mechanical, or any other discipline, this plan will make sure you’re studying efficiently and staying on track. Follow these steps, stay consistent, and you’ll walk into the exam with confidence.

Weeks 1-6: Morning Subjects

Begin by focusing on the morning subjects, which are general topics that show up on the exam before the 25-minute break.

  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Ethics and Professional Practice
  • Engineering Economics
  • Statics
  • Dynamics
  • Mechanics of Materials
  • Materials

Weeks 7-13: Afternoon Subjects

Next, move on to the afternoon subjects, which are specific to your major. For FE Civil, this includes topics like surveying, construction, and others. After you’ve finished studying the morning subjects, take a full practice exam to see where you stand, and then take another one after covering the afternoon topics. This will help you measure your progress and identify areas that need more focus.

Weeks 14-16: Review and Practice Exams

In the last two weeks, go over all the topics and focus on taking practice exams. Carefully review each answer, paying close attention to any mistakes so you won’t repeat them on test day. Practicing in exam-like conditions will boost your confidence and help make sure you’re fully prepared.

If 4 months of preparation isn’t enough because you’re balancing a full-time job or you’re struggling finding study time, a 6 study plan might be a better fit.

To help with this, we offer a free 6-month plan designed to keep you on track for passing your FE Exam in 2025.
